As part of Promoting Interoperability for CMS the push is to have EHR’s and portals for patient’s to get their data quickly. However, it also requires that we provide the patient their records in the manner that they request whether it be electronic, paper, etc. You will always have those patients who are more seasoned in age that have no interest in using a computer or technology so we always have to look at all the avenues that we can provide data in order to meet the needs of all of our patients.
