   Some key factors that contributed to the success of the Civil Rights Movement include strong leadership (e.g., Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks), grassroots activism, legal challenges that paved the way for desegregation, media coverage, federal legislation like the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act, and strategic nonviolent protests and boycotts.
